Terms & Policy
Back homeTerms governing bookings, payment, and cancellations.
This page sets out the standard terms applicable to private dining services booked with PASHUT by Chef Biton.
1. Booking confirmation
An event date is confirmed only upon written acceptance and receipt of the required deposit. Dates are not reserved until the deposit is received in full.
2. Payment terms
- A 50% advance payment of the total event fee is required to secure the booking and to cover sourcing and preparation costs.
- The remaining 50% balance is due after completion of the event and no later than two calendar days from the event date.
- For clarity, the total event fee is deemed fully paid only once both installments have been received.
3. Cancellation policy
In the event of cancellation by the client, the initial 50% deposit is retained and is non-refundable.
4. Event changes and rescheduling
- Any request to materially amend guest count, timing, location, or service scope must be submitted in writing.
- Rescheduling requests made 7 or more days before the event date may be accommodated without an additional fee, subject to availability.
- Rescheduling requests made fewer than 7 days before the event date may be accepted subject to availability and may incur case-by-case sourcing and administrative charges.
5. Late payment handling
If the final balance is not received by the due date (within 2 calendar days after the event), a payment reminder will be issued. No automatic late fee is applied under this policy.
6. Travel, parking, and extra costs
Standard pricing is based on agreed event details and location. Where an event requires unusual travel, paid parking, tolls, venue-specific access costs, or other special logistics, additional charges may be billed separately and communicated in advance where reasonably possible.
7. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delay or non-performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, road closures, power or utility outages, sudden illness, or government restrictions. In such circumstances, both parties will first seek to reschedule the event in good faith.
8. Client responsibilities
- Provide accurate event information, including date, timing, location, and final guest count.
- Disclose dietary restrictions and allergies in advance to support safe and appropriate menu planning.
- The chef cannot guarantee accommodation of allergies or intolerances that are not disclosed in advance.
- Ensure suitable kitchen and venue access for preparation, service execution, and post-event cleanup.
9. Accepted payment methods
Accepted payment methods are e-transfer, bank transfer, and cash, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10. Service area and governing law
Services are offered within British Columbia. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, these terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
